This place is known for its scenery and cozy atmosphere. In my case I chose to do <strong>the trail to Bachalpsee Lake<\/strong>I highly recommend it if you visit Grindelwald first. Then, the parachute opens and you can enjoy a quiet and panoramic view as you gently descend. Interlaken has several outdoor pools that are perfect for enjoying a relaxing day. These pools are located around Lake Brienz and Thun, here is an example of some of them. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interlaken.ch\/en\/experiences\/lakes-waterfalls\/water-activities\/lidos-open-air-pools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">map<\/a><\/strong> of the pools in case you are interested, a bath in summer never hurts. I have to say that in this case I did not visit the facilities as I was out exploring nature. During the workshop, <strong>you will learn about the different types of cocoa and the processes that are followed to turn it into chocolate.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be able to taste different varieties of chocolate, from the darkest to the creamiest milk chocolate and you will also have the opportunity to create your own personalized chocolate bar, adding ingredients such as nuts, dried fruits and spices. On a rainy day it is one of the best activities you can do in Interlaken without a doubt. In my case I didn't do this activity but I know what I'm talking about since I learned about it first hand when I arrived in Interlaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-a93fc92c\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"14_Visita_Schynige_Platte\"><\/span>14. Visit Schynige Platte<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-1b8c23e7\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schynige Platte is a destination that offers spectacular views and an authentic alpine experience. To get there you have to take a train from Interlaken Ost to Wilderswil and from this village a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/getyourguide.tp.st\/hHP2Yszr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">cog railway to Schynige Platte<\/a><\/strong>. This is a special train to climb slopes and mountains of the nineteenth century of which there are almost no more. The simple fact of riding this train is an experience and offers panoramic views of the landscape throughout the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once in Schynige Platte, there are several routes and viewpoints. In my case I decided to take a short one to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Oberberghorn\/@46.6563905,7.8968935,15z\/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x478fa33417beea97:0xfc442736fe615768!8m2!3d46.6592874!4d7.9136364!16s%2Fg%2F11gk1p_449?entry=ttu\">Oberberghorn viewpoint<\/a><\/strong>From here you have breathtaking views of the Thun and Brienz lakes, as well as the surrounding mountains. The trail was quite easy and the views from the viewpoint were spectacular, I leave you here the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/es\/ruta\/switzerland\/bern\/schynige-platte-panoramawanderung\">route map in alltrails<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-6ca66268\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"15_Cascadas_de_Giessbach\"><\/span>15. Giessbach Waterfalls<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-aa493280\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Giessbach waterfalls are another of Interlaken's natural treasures. Located near Lake Brienz, these waterfalls fall in multiple levels through the forest and are easily accessible from Interlaken. In my case I didn't have time during my visit to do the route, but you can find it here at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/es\/ruta\/switzerland\/bern\/giessbachfalle-giessbachsee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alltrails<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-1afd0b6f wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miradasnomadas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Interlaken0.jpg\" alt=\"Giessbach waterfall seen from lake Brienz\" class=\"uag-image-4832\" width=\"675\" height=\"900\" title=\"Interlaken0\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-24543a77\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, right next to the waterfalls is the Grandhotel Giessbach, a historic hotel that offers a spectacular view of the waterfalls and the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-0f318f44\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"16_Monten_Nissen\"><\/span>16. Monten Nissen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-fe5188fe\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monten Nissen, known as the \"Mountain of the Swiss\", is another impressive destination very close to Interlaken. This mountain is famous for its pyramidal shape and panoramic views, especially at sunset. To get to the top, you have to take a train from Interlaken to M\u00fclenen, and then a funicular will take you to the intermediate station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-54527ae0 wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miradasnomadas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Interlaken0-13.jpg\" alt=\"Shadow of Mt. Nissen at sunset over Iterlaken\" class=\"uag-image-4831\" width=\"900\" height=\"502\" title=\"Screenshot\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-79daad01\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trip itself is an incredible experience, with breathtaking views along the way. Once at the top, the views are simply spectacular. From the lookout, you can see the Thun and Brienz lakes, as well as the peaks of the Swiss Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides the views, at the top there is a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Swiss food and try the cheese foundue. I highly recommend you to visit the Nissen if you have several days in interlaken and above all to check out the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niview.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nissen webcams<\/a><\/strong> before your climb to ensure you have a clear view of the landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-9e1ddc8e\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Donde_Alojarse_en_Interlaken\"><\/span>Where to Stay in Interlaken<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator uagb-block-c58f6518\"><div class=\"uagb-separator-spacing-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-uagb-separator__inner\" style=\"--my-background-image:\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interlaken offers a wide variety of accommodation options for all tastes and budgets, but you will definitely notice that you are in Switzerland. This hostel has clean and comfortable rooms, a friendly atmosphere and many facilities for travelers, such as VERY spacious shared kitchen and cozy common areas. This five-star hotel has elegant rooms and a world-class spa. It's a perfect place to relax after a day of adventures, and I look forward to working with them on my next Interlaken adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you prefer something more intimate, there are several bed and breakfasts and boutique accommodations in the area. One thing to note about public transportation is that it is totally free when you book your accommodation in the city. As you have already seen in this article you will find activities of all kinds, but, especially it is a destination that you will enjoy to the fullest if you are an adrenaline and nature addict like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Something that seems super important to me and that I overlooked when visiting Interlaken was the season in which I made my trip. <strong>I highly recommend traveling in the summer months.<\/strong>when <strong>the likelihood of rain and cancellation of activities is reduced<\/strong>.
