Electronic devices on your travel list

Here is a list of electronic devices that are never missing in my travel backpack.

Power Bank

If I have learned anything from traveling, specially to less developed places, it is that a power bank is essential. You don't know when you'll find yourself without access to a power outlet. Either because you venture out of town or simply because in some places the charging options are limited.

A good power bank ensures that your mobile device, crucial for navigation or in case of emergencies, will always be operational. Here is a link to the power bank Ii use from Amazon in case you don't have one yet.

2. Universal Travel Plug Adapter

Carrying a versatile adapter is non-negotiable, is a must on your travel list. In my travels, I have learned that the availability of plugs compatible with your devices varies greatly from country to country. Without an adapter, you risk running out of power to charge your essential devices.

Besides, buying an adapter at the destination is usually more expensive and you can't always find the right one. That's why I always carry a universal one that works everywhere. It's an investment that saves you a lot of headaches.. Here is a link to the Plug adapter which you can see in this image, is the best value for money on Amazon.

Personal Hygiene and Care items for your travel list

Personal hygiene and care items are essential in my packing list. Here are two of the products that always go with me.

4.Foldable Travel Toilet Bag

The foldable travel toiletry bag, this was one of my best discoveries. It is super useful because you can hang it anywhere, even in the shower. With several compartments, you keep everything organized and close at hand, saving you space and time. Forget about traditional toiletry bags; these are much more practical for any trip. I leave you here the link to the vanity case I use of the Deuter brand. It is the one you can see in the image.

Quick Dry Towel

A microfiber towel is never missing on my travel list. Why? First, because takes up very little space. Whether you roll it up or fold it, it fits easily into a corner of your travel backpack or suitcase. And second, because dries very quickly. After a surf session at the beach or a shower at the hostel, you hang it up for a while and it's ready to store without getting the rest of your stuff wet. Here is the link to Amazon for the quick-drying towel you can see in the image.

First Aid & Travel Safety Kit

Traveling not only involves having a good plan and a flexible itinerary, but also equipping yourself with the necessary items to deal with unforeseen events. Here are some first aid and safety essentials that I always carry with me.

Travel Emergency Kit

It is always best to have an emergency kit on your travels. They are compact and economical, but they can be a great help in case of unforeseen events such as cuts or scratches. They save you from searching for a pharmacy, especially at night. Carrying one means being prepared for the basics, without taking up too much space in your luggage.

Padlocks for your Luggage

Travel padlocks are essential, especially when staying in hostels. But their usefulness does not stop there. They are also useful when you leave your travel backpack in a luggage locker and can lock it with a padlock to protect your belongings. Bottom line, a padlock means protection and peace of mind, It can't be missing in your travel packing list. Here is the link to the padlocks I use from Amazon.

8.Raincoat and windbreaker

A rain jacket and windbreaker can make the difference between a pleasant experience and an uncomfortable one. They can save you in unpredictable situations. Also, if you opt for the folding models, they take up hardly any space in your backpack. I always carry a lightweight, foldable windbreaker that not only protects me from rain and wind, but also functions as an extra layer when it's cold. It's an investment that provides comfort and safety on your adventures.

Personal Essentials on my Travel List

When it comes to preparing your travel list, there are certain items that can make a big difference in your experience. These essentials are not only practical, but also add a layer of comfort and convenience to your adventure. Here are the items I always take everywhere I go to make my travels more comfortable.

Travel Water Bottle

The travel water bottle is an essential item you can't leave behind. Not only is it sustainable and reusable, but it also provides you with constant access to water wherever you go. From experience I can tell you that investing in a quality bottle is worth it, don't buy just anything because chances are it won't hold up in the long run. You'll use it constantly on your travels, and you'll be sure to stay hydrated as you explore the world. These two are the best ones on the market right now, the ones from clean canteen and those of HydroFlask. I personally have this one in the picture, a 1L HydroFlask.

10.Foldable auxiliary backpack

The foldable auxiliary backpack is another one of my travel essentials, and I'll explain why. It takes up practically no space and is immensely useful. How many times do you find yourself in the situation of having a main suitcase or travel backpack and wanting to go on a hike or explore the city. Normally, we would have to empty one to carry the essentials, right? But with these auxiliary backpacks, you save yourself that headache.

They are rugged, compact and the perfect size. You can take them anywhere and you will always be prepared for any unforeseen event without having to unpack. In my list of essentials, this backpack is never missing. In my case I use one from Decathlon, it is very economical and fulfills its function. But if you are looking for something better take a look at this one from Osprey.

11.Headlamp

The headlamp is another one of my travel essentials. Its size is compact and its utility is second to none. You never know when you'll need it, and you'd be surprised how many situations it can get you out of a jam. Whether on a camping trip, a night hike or in remote areas with poor lighting, this flashlight becomes your best ally. Best of all, it takes up hardly any space, which is why I always put it on my travel list. This head flashlight from Amazon is a very good option.

12.Noise Canceling Headphones

Noise-canceling headphones are a must-have item on your travel list for two compelling reasons. First, music is an inseparable companion on your travels, unless you belong to the select 1% of the population who don't listen to it. Whether on a plane or on any journey, good headphones are essential to take your mind off your favorite tunes.

Second, noise cancellation is your lifesaver in noisy situations. In hostels, when someone starts snoring, or in cafes and crowded places, this feature will save you a lot of headaches. Here are the Sony headsets I use for traveling.

13. Heroclip and Rope

The Heroclip allows you to hook and hang anything anywhere. Whether it's to hang your backpack in the middle of nature or to secure a flashlight in a corner, this small carabiner is always ready to solve unexpected situations. It takes up no space at all, so you can hang it from your backpack or use it as a keychain.

And while the rope may not be an absolute essential, it's a reliable companion. I've used it to hang clothes, secure items or attach things to my backpack on my getaways. I always carry one just in case, because when traveling, you never know when it will come in handy.

14. Waterproof backpack cover

The backpack cover is an essential item if you are backpacking, especially if your backpack is not water repellent. But even if it is, this accessory gives you peace of mind knowing that your belongings will stay dry no matter what the weather conditions. Personally, I always take it with me when I travel with my electronic devices. In situations where rain can surprise you, it is better not to gamble with the safety of your equipment, and the investment in a backpack cover is minimal compared to the peace of mind it offers. Here is a link to the backpack covers they sell on Amazon.

Since I discovered them, I haven't stopped using them, and I can tell you that they make a huge difference in terms of organizing my backpack. Here is the link to the organizer bags sold by Amazon Basics.

16. Light wallet

This is a very personal recommendation from my list for a trip. I'm sure you already have a wallet or card holder, but for traveling there's nothing like this one. Tatomka wallet. This is the wallet I use because is super compact and you can put it anywhere. I can fit all my cards and, in addition, some bills or loose change as well. Then there's the design, which I think is one of the best there is for travel wallets.

Luggage for Different Types of Travel

The choice between a suitcase and a backpack for your trip depends largely on your preferences and needs. But much of your travel list will depend on which one you use. and what your destination is. Here are some general guidelines and the advantages of each option:

Suitcase:

  • For Urban Travel: The suitcases are ideal for trips to cities and urban destinations where you won't have to walk long distances with your luggage.
  • Increased Capacity: They usually offer more storage space and organization, ideal if you wear formal clothes or need to pack more.
  • Wheels for Ease of Transport: Wheels make moving a suitcase more comfortable in airports and stations.

Backpack:

  • Adventures and Nature: Backpacks are perfect for adventure travel, hiking and nature exploration, where you are likely to do a lot of walking.
  • Freedom of Movement: They allow you to move easily over uneven terrain and explore less accessible places.
  • Efficient Packaging: They encourage a more minimalist and lighter packing, which can be ideal for simpler trips.

Ultimately, the choice between a travel suitcase and a backpack depends on your travel style and personal preferences. Some people opt for a combination of both depending on the occasion. The important thing is that you choose the option that best suits your needs and makes you enjoy your trip to the fullest.

If you are going on a trip and you are not sure which card to use, be careful. Here I help you to make the best decision and I will explain which ones I use.
